Laos laws impose on all travel agencies a special license, the obtaining of which is subject to the subscription to professional insurance. This legal requirement aims to ensure that the travel agency has the professional competence and sufficient financial guarantees to properly organize the trips and to be able to assume its responsibilities to the traveler in the event of default.

As a one of top 10 travel agency, BiiG Holiday has already signed and hold travel legally national licenses. So yes is the answer, you can definitely trust us.
How can I trust BiiG Holiday?
The small, landlocked country of Laos is best visited between late October and early April, when the weather’s warm and dry throughout.

River travel is best between November and January, when high water levels make passage easy along Laos main waterway, the Mekong River.

The green season falls between late May and October, when the rains return to the country. However, showers are usually short and sharp, having little impact on your exploration. At this time of year, the country comes to life, with waterfalls beginning to flow once more and the lush scenery attracting a variety of wildlife.
When is the best time to visit Laos?
After planning your trip with one of our advisers by email and / or phone, here are the steps to follow to finalize the reservation.

1. Confirm by email your purchase decision to your advisor.
2. Fill in & return the reservation form, as well as the scan of your passport to your advisor.
3. BiiG Holiday will reservation procedure for all the services provided for in the program. In the event of unavailability of a service (hotel, domestic flight), a replacement solution will be offered to you for validation. It will take about 1 week.
4. Receive the final program and contract for your trip if all services are confirmed by BiiG Holiday.
5. Pay the deposit for final validation of your trip.
What are the steps to follow to book the trip?
All the vehicles we use for road trips are recent, comfortable vehicles with air conditioning. You will travel privately, which is why the vehicle is reserved exclusively for you.

Our drivers are the subject of a rigorous selection. Fuel, tolls, accommodation, remuneration and catering costs for the driver are included in our offer, only tips are at your discretion.

Our quality criteria dictate that the number of seats is always higher than the number of travelers.
For example: 2 travels/4-7 seats; 3-4 travels/7-12 seats..., 20up/ bus 45 seats and so on )
What type of vehicle is reserved for my group?
In our offers, breakfast is usually taken in hotels. It can therefore be European. For lunches and dinners, the dishes are mostly local.

For meals included in our offers, the menu can be chosen in advance by BiiG Holiday (especially in large cities) or on site by yourself using the guide.

We often include half the meals in our quotes, not to make you feel like the trip is cheaper, but to give you more freedom. We understand that it is sometimes difficult to live completely disconnected from your eating habits and it would be good for you to eat the way you want.

If you are on a diet or allergic to any food, please let us know so that we can tailor our services to you.
How are meals included in tour price?
There are different categories of hotel in Laos: from small unranked hotels to luxury hotels, including standard two to three star hotels. In some regions where tourism is not yet developed (the north of Laos, for example), the best hotels you can find are only two to three stars.

Choosing a category of hotel depends entirely on your budget and your wishes. It should be noted in this regard that a 5 star hotel can cost ten times more than a two star hotel. In addition, two hotels of the same category may not have the same price, because the quality is variable.

The hotels offered in our offers have been verified by ourselves. Cleanliness, quality of welcome, location, charm and tranquility are our selection criteria. When we have the choice, we favor human-sized hotels and work less with international chains.
What are the selection criteria hotels?
You can pay the reservation deposit by credit card or by international bank-to-bank transfer. Bank charges are your responsibility.

If you are paying by bank transfer, ask your contact person to send you the BiiG Holiday bank account.

If you pay by credit card, BiiG Holiday will send you an electronic invoice and the link to our bank's secure site. The advantage of paying by card and online is that you can have travel insurance (to be confirmed with the bank issuing your card) and that you do not have to go to your bank.
How can I pay the reservation deposit?
Of course! With BiiG Holiday, obtaining a visa is now very easy. You just need to have your valid passport, two photos and a few tens of dollars, the visa will be issued to you at the border gate.
Can BiiG Holiday handle the visas?
Nestling in a slim valley shaped by lofty, green mountains and cut by the swift Mekong and Khan rivers, LUANG PRABANG exudes tranquility and casual grandeur. A tiny mountain kingdom for more than a thousand years and designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995, Luang Prabang is endowed with a legacy of ancient red-roofed temples and French-Indochinese architecture, not to mention some of the country’s most refined cuisine, its richest culture and its most sacred Buddha image, the Pha Bang.
For those familiar with Southeast Asia, the very name Luang Prabang conjures up the classic image of Laos – streets of ochre colonial houses and swaying palms, lines of saffron-robed monks gliding through the morning mist, the sonorous thump of the temple drums before dawn, and, of course, long-tail boats racing down the Mekong before the river slips out of view through a seam in the mountains.

There are alternatives we can option for when we plan our trips that ease the burden on congested tourist destinations.

(1) Travel in the Off-Season
(2) Stay Outside the City Centre
(3) Research Eco-Friendly Services in the Area
The chance to go green starts with your hotel. If you are staying longer than a day or two, ask them not to change your sheets and towels every day. Similarly, turn off air conditioners, heaters, and other electronic gadgets when you go out. Better still, stay in hotels that have recycling programs in place and abide by their guidelines.

One key step in promoting sustainable tourism is reducing your carbon footprint. There are plenty of green tips to offset your carbon footprint such as taking direct flights, buying organic, local products from grocery stores and farmer's markets.
Buy from local businesses so you circulate money in the local economy and create jobs for local people. Patronize businesses that are not engaged in illegal trade, the exploitation of humans (especially children) and the looting of artifacts.
Dining with local families, spending the night at a local home, or joining the farming activities are some examples of what you can support the local communities. Communities have a stake in the development of tourism in their areas, so their active involvement will ensure that programs will be sustained.

From its sleepy tuk-tuk drivers to its location on the right bank of the lumbering, lazy Mekong, this former French trading post is languid to say the least. Indeed, despite being the capital and largest city of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, there's not a whole lot to do in Vientiane. But that is also, quite honestly, its selling point.

For the traveler happy with a couple of low-key sights and lots of contemplative river watching while sipping on Beerlao, or hopping from cafe to cafe, Vientiane excels. And best of all, these pleasures are available to all budgets, be it via the city's low-cost digs and street markets, or its upscale boutique accommodation and foreign restaurants. Even though in Vientiane the days blend into one another, once you leave you’ll miss this place more than you expected.

Like a rural scene from an old Asian silk painting, Vang Vieng crouches low over the Nam Song (Song River) with a backdrop of serene cliffs and a tapestry of vivid green paddy fields.

Thanks to the Lao government closing the river rave bars in 2012, the formerly toxic party scene has been driven to the fringes and the community is rebooting itself as an adrenaline-fueled adventure destination.
The town itself is no gem, as concrete hotels build ever higher in search of the quintessential view. But across the Nam Song lies a rural idyll; spend a few days here – hire a bike, zipline, climb a cliff, go tubing or trekking – and soak up one of the country's most stunningly picturesque spots.

Nong Khiaw (Nong Kiau or Nong Kiew) is a rustic little town on the bank of the Ou River in Laos. It is squeezed in between some of the most fantastic limestone mountains to be found north of Vang Vieng.

Many travellers pass through on the way up river to the even more isolated Muang Ngoi, but Nong Khiaw has a plenty of charm, a decent range of accommodation, plus conveniences like 24-hour electricity and a connection to the road network for those interested in exploring the surrounding area.

Mentioning Xieng Khuang means mentioning Phonsavan, which is a popular base from which to explore the Plain of Jars. The town itself has an unfinished feel and is very spread out, with its two parallel main boulevards stretching for about 3km east–west.

Fortunately, a very handy concentration of hotels, restaurants and tour agents is crammed into a short if architecturally uninspired central 'strip'. More shops, markets and facilities straggle along Rte 7. But the town is best appreciated from the surrounding hills, several of which are pine-clad and topped with small resorts. Keep an eye out too for wooden powder-blue Hmong cottages on the mountain roads with firewood neatly stacked outside.

This route takes travelers through awe-inspiring karst mountains, expansive green rice paddies, and rural villages. The loop’s highlights include the Kong Lor Cave, a vast 7.5-kilometer-long cave navigable by boat, and towering limestone cliffs that dominate the landscape.

The Thakhek Loop is a perfect adventure for those looking to explore the countryside, offering an off-the-beaten-path experience where Laos' natural beauty and local culture shine.

Pak Beng, a riverside stop halfway between Luang Prabang and Huay Xai, may lack architectural charm, but it offers a comfortable break for travelers. While fast longtail boats stop for lunch, slow boats stay overnight, giving visitors a chance to explore. Despite its modest size, Pak Beng has some good guesthouses, eateries, and cozy cafes, including a few Western-style bakeries.

The best way to experience Pak Beng is from one of the restaurant balconies perched on its steep slopes. As the day fades, you can relax while watching the Mekong River’s gentle flow, framed by massive boulders and jungle-covered banks, creating a picturesque and peaceful scene.

The Bolaven Plateau in southern Laos, formed within an ancient volcanic crater, rises over 1,300 meters above sea level and is renowned for its cool climate, coffee plantations, and beautiful waterfalls. This elevated region is home to some of Southeast Asia’s finest Arabica and Robusta coffee, with many plantations offering tours where visitors can learn about the coffee-making process and taste freshly brewed coffee. Bolaven also famous for its stunning waterfalls, such as the twin cascades of Tad Fane and the serene Tad Yuang. Surrounded by lush jungle, these waterfalls are ideal for hiking, swimming, or simply enjoying the breathtaking scenery. While a day trip from Pakse gives a glimpse of the area’s natural beauty, spending a night or two on the plateau allows for a more relaxed exploration of its landscapes and ethnic villages. The cooler temperatures and peaceful surroundings make it a perfect retreat for nature lovers.

Si Phan Done, literally called 4000 Islands is where Laos becomes the land of the lotus-eaters, an archipelago of islands where the pendulum of time swings slowly and postcard-worthy views are the rule rather than the exception. Many travelers has washed ashore here, succumbed to its charms and stayed longer than expected.

Down here the Mekong bulges to a breadth of 14km – the river’s widest reach along its 4350km journey from the Tibetan Plateau to the South China Sea – and if you count every islet and sandbar that emerges in the dry months the name, which literally means ‘Four Thousand Islands’, isn't that much of an exaggeration.
